A political game
Oppian Wives » Devlog
This is the beginning of the devlog for Oppian Wives. The idea came while reading Goddesses, Whores, Wives, and Slaves by Sarah B. Pomeroy.
I set a few design challenges for myself with this game.
- No 'combat' or in fact direct action in a PVP sense. (yet, strong PVP in the game).
- A game without a clear and unifying 'adventuring party' or group dynamic where everyone has the same objective.
- Incorporating what 'works' from different systems rather than sticking to one only (although this VERY heavily a 'Drama System' game - please check out the works of Robin D. Laws - i.e. 'Hillfolk').
I'll maintain this devlog as I go through the entire RPG development process, adding text, images, and video as I explore the processes I use - both conceptually / theoretically as well as technically.
